- ... The effects of pyriproxyfen were tested against a local population of Aedes aegypti (L.) in Iquitos, Peru. Bioassays showed that, when applied to late instars, pyriproxyfen prevented adult emergence at extremely low concentrations (LC50 = 0.012 ppb).
