- The liverwort <i>Thysananthus spathulistipus</i>, earlier known to be distributed in the Eastern Himalaya, Northeast India and the Andamans in India, has been rediscovered in the Western Ghats after more than a century. It was last collected by Decoly and Schaul in Kurseong in 1898.Adetailed description of the species, an illustration and a distribution map are provided.
