- Preparation of an artifical sampling board for testing and teaching vegetation sampling techniques is described. Discs of different sizes are cut into a perpex (plexiglas) board of provide a permanent sample population. By cutting the periphery of each disc to a depth of 0.25 mm and the center of 0.1 mm, overlapping discs are clearly outlined. Measuring devices are described fora variety of sampling techniques.
