Abstract:
The predatory behavior of the mite Zetzellia mali was observed as the proportion of its three prey species changed. The prey were Aculus schlechtendali, Panonychus ulmim, and Tetranychus urticae. The predator preference remained constant as the proportion of he available prey changed. Unsuccessful attempts were made to alter predator preference by training experiments.
