Abstract:
Females of 2 laboratory-reared strains of pink bollworm, Pectinophora gossypiella (Saunders), (Lep.: Gelechiidae) mated more frequently in the laboratory than native females from Puerto Rico, from St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, or from Phoenix, AZ. Females of the laboratory-reared strains were equally receptive to mating with males of laboratory-reared or native strains.
