- One of the main concerns in the application of foam for gas well deliquification is the stability of foam. This article presents a novel foaming system which uses silicon carbide (SiC) nanoparticles in order to enhance the stability of foam. A series of experiments were also conducted which confirmed the foaming system had high fluid-carrying capability, good frothing capability and strengthened anti-condensate oil ability. In this paper, a typical water flooded gas well was selected to illustrate the application of this foaming system. The successful application of the field experiment indicated that this nanoparticle-stabilized foaming system could promote the gas production of water flooded gas wells.
