- Due to various anthropogenic processes, foreign or trace substances may occur in our drinking water. For these, it is necessary to carry out health risk assessments when they occur. This poses a challenge, as the risk assessors are often confronted with a lack of information about the health effects of the substances. The various methods of risk assessment are presented. As a result, in special cases risk management measures may be adopted to protect the health of consumers. At the very least, all activities are necessary to keep our drinking water protected from such contaminations.
