- In two prairie wetlands, mean available phosphate was six times greater at 0–15 cm in Ca-depleted recharge soil (57.3 mg kg⁻¹) versus Ca-rich discharge soil (13.0 mg kg⁻¹) highlighting the importance of wetland chemistry when characterizing P availability and nutrient loss potentials of prairie wetland soils.
