- An efficient synthesis of a doubly stranded rotaxane has been developed through bridging of a pseudorotaxane featuring two axle components. Reversible azine formation was effective as the bridging reaction. Kinetic and thermodynamic conditions provided the - and rotaxanes, respectively.
