Abstract:
Pumping water requires a significant quantity of energy and before the industrial revolution, mechanical pulse systems using natural energies were used. Nowadays, a large field of renewable energies is under exploration for autonomous applications such as solar energy to supply pumping systems. The major disadvantage of these systems occurs during periods of low irradiance. The electrochemical battery bank is one of the solutions that can be considered. This paper deals with the comparative assessment for the feasibility of storage bank in small-scale power photovoltaic pumping system for building application. Experimental analysis of PV pumping station with storage is investigated under two dynamic head levels.The obtained results are presented and discussed.
