New Oxirapentyn E from Marine Isolate of the Fungus Isaria felina

- The new highly oxidized chromene oxirapentyn E was isolated from marine isolate of the fungus Isaria felina (DC.) Fr. Its structure was established based on NMR spectroscopy, high-resolution mass spectrometry, and convergent synthesis. Oxirapentyn E at low and ultralow (10–⁵–10–¹⁷ M) doses exhibited stimulating activity on the growth of corn (Zea mays L.) and barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) rootlets. The dose–effect curves were bimodal in nature.
