Light-driven thermocatalytic CO₂ reduction over surface-passivated β-Mo₂C nanowires: enhanced catalytic stability by light

- Surface-passivated β-Mo₂C (P-Mo₂C) nanowires were first applied to light-driven thermocatalytic CO₂ reduction with H₂O and exhibited activity 4.5 times that of P25 under the same conditions. As compared to traditional thermocatalysis, the catalytic stability of P-Mo₂C in the light-driven thermocatalysis was significantly improved, due to the light-promoted removal of the generated hydroxyls.
